Toyota Motor Philippines (TMP) has finally launched the highly-anticipated refreshed Toyota Fortuner. The all-diesel lineup is headlined by the new LTD variant in 4x4 and 4x2, followed by Q and V variants in an automatic transmission, and the G variant available in AT and MT.

During the online launch, TMP President Atsuhiro Okamoto recalled how the Fortuner changed the local automotive landscape at a time when entry-level sedans and Asian utility vehicles were the affordable crowd favorite.

The Fortuner captured the hearts of many Filipinos as proven by strong sales. The new Fortuner is SMARTER, STRONGER, and SAFER than ever! With its refreshed line-up led by the top-of-the-line premium LTD grade, the country’s best-selling SUV just got better!” he added.

TMP has sold over 220,000 Fortuners since it was first launched in 2005. It was crowned the best-selling vehicle in the country in 2017, and just this August, the model dominated the mid-sized SUV category with over 30% market share.
